Sonia Martin
Ph.D. Student in Mechanical Engineering, admitted Autumn 2020
Sonia’s research centers around algorithms for networked battery storage. She works on developing metrics to determine battery state of charge uncertainty and how uncertainty can propagate with different battery usage, such as in EVs or for grid ancillary services. Additionally, she experimentally validates the algorithms on physical stationary storage systems in the Stanford and SLAC labs. In her free time, Sonia is on the Stanford triathlon team.
